Eligibility Criteria for the MTCP Scholarship Program 2024-25
To apply for the Malaysian Government MTCP Scholarship, applicants must meet these criteria:
1. Be under 45 years old at the time of application.
2. For a Master’s Degree, have at least a Second Class Upper (Honours) or a minimum CGPA of 3.5 at the Undergraduate level.
3. Provide proof of English language proficiency:
- A scanned copy of the IELTS (minimum score of 6.0) or TOEFL (paper-based score of 500 or internet-based score of 70).
- Degrees with English as the medium of instruction may also be accepted (proof required).
4. Be in excellent health, certified by a doctor. The applicant must cover the cost of the medical check-up.
5. Commit to full-time postgraduate study at selected Higher Learning Institutions (see List of Universities).
6. Applications are open to those who have received offer letters from Malaysian universities but have not started their studies or have registered for no more than one semester for a Master’s Degree.
