Eligibility Criteria For Vanier (CGS)

  • The following conditions must be met by applicants in order to be eligible for the Vanier CGS:
  • Obtain a nomination from a Canadian institution that has been allotted a Vanier CGS.
  • Currently enrolled in their first doctoral program in one of the approved fields of study, which includes MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, and JD/PhD combined undergraduate/graduate research programs.
  • demonstrate a strong academic track record supported by excellent grades, successful research, and scholarly achievements.
  • Participate in academic or extracurricular activities, become involved in the community, and show that you have the potential and excellent leadership skills to make a difference.
