Mexico Government Scholarship 2024 (Fully Funded)

The Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, invites people from other countries to apply for the Fully Funded Mexico Government Scholarship 2024. Citizens from over 180 countries can apply. This scholarship covers full-time studies for Undergraduate, Master’s, PhD, Postgraduate Research, and Postdoctoral programs at over 90 universities in Mexico.

The scholarship pays for everything: airfare, tuition, registration, a monthly stipend, accommodation, visa costs, and health insurance. Financial Benefits of Mexico Government Scholarship

Scholarship recipients will get the following support:

Eligibility Criteria for Mexico Government Scholarship

  • Students from any of the listed countries can apply for the scholarship. 
  • Applicants must not currently be residents of Mexico.
  • Students from the listed countries are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Applicants must not currently live in Mexico.
  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree, depending on the program.
  • Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence.
  • Applicants must be accepted or enrolled in a program at one of the participating Mexican institutions.
  • Candidates must demonstrate academic excellence in their intended area of study.
  • The chosen field of study in Mexico should relate to the applicant’s academic and professional background.
  • The field of study should be important and directly beneficial to the development of the applicant’s country.
  •  The program should be linked to specific projects that impact the development of the applicant’s country.

Eligible Countries for Mexico Government Scholarship

Here is the list of eligible countries. 

Required Documents

  1. Completed and signed scholarship application form.
  2. Letter explaining your motivation for studying or researching in Mexico (max 2 pages, Arial 12, single spacing).
  3. Letter of commitment to return to your home country.
  4. Curriculum vitae (max 3 pages, Arial 12, single spacing).
  5. Letter of academic acceptance from the Mexican institution or response to the admission application.
  6. Letter accepting the terms of the Call.
  7. Copy of birth certificate.
  8. Copy of valid passport (color, open book format) or government-issued photo ID.
  9. Proof of advanced Spanish language proficiency (minimum level B2) if Spanish is not your mother tongue.
  10. Copy of medical certificate from a public or private health institution (issued within the last 3 months) stating good health.
  11. A statement declaring that the information provided is true.
  12. All documents must be in Spanish or include translations into Spanish.

How to Apply for the Mexico Government Scholarship?

To apply for the Mexico Government Scholarship 2024, use the Online Application Portal. Follow these steps:

  1. Apply online at the Academic Cooperation Management System (SIGCA). 
  2. Applications must be submitted in Spanish.
  3. The SIGCA portal will be open from May 16 at 6:00 p.m. until June 28, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Central Mexico time. Please ensure all required documents are attached according to the instructions.
  4. Applicants with multiple nationalities can submit only one application corresponding to one of the eligible countries.
  5. The selection committee will evaluate only applications that match the academic offerings of this announcement.

Application Deadline

The deadline for international students to apply for the Mexico Government Scholarship 2024-25 is June 28, 2024.
