The announcement for the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2025 is now open. Globalink Research Internship is a fully funded international opportunity for international students in Canada. It is a 12-week internship from May to October of every year at a Canadian University that provides outstanding research facilities. Applicants will work under the guidance of a faculty member at a Canadian academic institution. The Mitacs Globalink Research Internships provide a unique international experience.
The MITACS Internship is available to current undergraduate students or those in a combined undergraduate/master’s program from the following countries: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States. You don’t need to submit IELTS scores to apply. All expenses are covered. More details and the application process for the MITACS Globalink Research Internship 2025 are provided below.
Financial Coverage
One of the great advantages of this program is that you will have to visit Canada on a Fully Funded Trip. The Globalink Interns will also receive:

Eligible Countries, Universities, and Disciplines for the MITACS Globalink Research Internship
Students from these countries can apply for the Globalink Internship. The Globalink Research Internships are available for all fields of study and offer a variety of projects.
Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Additionally, if your university is listed among the eligible universities for your country, then you are eligible to apply.
Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Eligibility Criteria
- Internee must be at least 18 years old.
- It is a must to meet the GPA requirements set for each country.
- You must have at least one to three semesters left as of fall 2025.
- You can also apply even if you don’t currently have a valid passport.
- It is necessary to get a reference letter from a professor.
- Update your resume
- Acquire your intellectual transcripts (in either English or French).
- Apply to at least three and up to ten projects, making sure they are in at least three different provinces in Canada.
- Your passport should be valid until January 2026.

- Include details about your field of study, program, and educational background.
- Mention your research interests, skills, and accomplishments.
- Explain why you want to do research in Canada.
