The DESY Summer Student Program 2024 offers an 8-week research experience at DESY in Germany. Eligibility Criteria for The DESY Summer Internship Program
For the summer of 2024, we’re looking for students who meet these criteria:
- Have completed at least three years of full-time studies at the university level by then.
- Fall into one of these two categories in summer 2024:
- About to complete their bachelor’s degree.
- Already have a bachelor’s degree and aim to pursue a master’s degree.
Note: If you already have a Master’s degree or will have it by summer 2024, your application won’t be accepted.
Documents Required
Submit a single PDF document containing the following:
- CV (curriculum vitae)
- University-grade certificates (e.g., bachelor’s certificate, credit points, etc.)
- Two reference letters
- If you’re from a non-EU and non-EEA country, you need a work permit for Germany to join the DESY Summer Student Program. Upload a separate second document (in one PDF file) with:
- Copy of your international passport
- A certificate of enrollment from your university covering the entire program period (from the beginning of July to mid-September 2024).
- The Central Working Agency in Bonn requires the “Declaration of Certificate of Enrollment,” which your university must sign and stamp, covering the same period.
