Applications are open for the Czech Government Scholarship for the academic year 2025/26. The Government of the Czech Republic provides a fully funded scholarship for students from underdeveloped countries to pursue their Master’s or PhD degree program from the Czech Public Universities. The Czech Republic is a beautiful country. The capital has a rich history and incredible architecture. The Czech Republic is a Member of the European Union, so students can also travel to other EU countries.
Since the 1950s, over 20,000 international students have studied in the Czech Republic with a scholarship from the Czech Government. Master’s degrees take 2 to 3 years, and PhD degrees take 3 to 4 years. Scholarships are offered in both English and Czech. Funding is also available for a one-year Czech language course. Financial Support

- CZK 16,000 per month for the Master’s Degree Student
- CZK 17,000 per month for the PhD Degree Student.
- Costs of housing, food, and public transportation are provided by scholarship holders from the scholarship.
- Travel expenses to and from the Czech Republic must be covered by the organization that nominated the student for the scholarship or by the student.
Eligibility Criteria for the Czech Government Scholarship 2025/26
- The students from the following countries are eligible for the scholarship: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Zambia.
- Students of all other countries are not eligible to apply.
- EU citizens and citizens of the Czech Republic cannot apply.
- Master’s program applicants must have a bachelor’s degree.
- PhD program applicants must have both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.

- Students can apply on the official website via the online application.
- Fill out the application form carefully. Try to fill out it in the Roman alphabet, if possible. Otherwise, you can also fill it up in English or Czech language.
- Write the assigned application ID number in the top right corner.
- Attach your photo in the designated spot.
- Fill out all the fields correctly.
- Upload a motivation letter explaining why you want to pursue this degree program.
