Monthly Stipends (All International Students)

  • Student stipend: 140,000 won per month for M.S. students, 295,000 won per month for Ph.D. students

  • Students must have completed nine credits in the previous semester to qualify for the above two allowances.
  • International student stipend: 120,000 won per month
  • Requires a GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.5) in the previous semester

  • 6,400,000 won annually for the M.S. program
  • 13,740,000 won annually for a Ph.D. program

Housing (All Students)

  • The waiting period may exceed the anticipated timeframe.
  • Housing fees will be subject to annual increases.
  • Utility fees are billed separately.
  • Additional expenses may arise for wallpapering or flooring.

Health Insurance (All International Students)

  • 60% of the cost of National Health Insurance is covered.

Flight Reimbursement (All Incoming International Students)

Exemption of English Language Test Proficiency

At GIST University, all classes are taught in English. You can apply without submitting an English proficiency test score. However, suppose you’ve completed your bachelor’s degree in an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA). In that case, you are exempt from the English Proficiency Test requirement.

All other applicants, such as TOEFL (IBT, PBT), IELTS, TOEIC, or TEPS, must submit an official English proficiency test score. The required scores are:
